MAUVSA Advance Conference XIV Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much is registration for MAC XIV?
A: For general attendees, tickets cost $115 + additional fees. For alumni programming attendees, tickets cost $90.
Q: Can I purchase more than 1 ticket at a time?
A: No. You can purchase only one ticket at a time.
Q: What is the time limit to complete registration?
A: 15 minutes.
Q: What do I need for registration?
A: Headshot, MBTI, ranked love languages, image of student ID, PayPal account set up.
Q: Can I change my information on my ticket?
A: Yes. Navigate to the URL on your confirmation email. However, if you need to change your name, phone number or email address, please send an email to conference.registration@mauvsa.org.
Q: Is there a way I can refund my ticket?
A: Yes! Please refer to our "Refund/Transfer Policy"
Q: What payment type do you guys accept when registering for a ticket?
A: PayPal ONLY! However, you may pay using a Credit or Debit card using the PayPal Guest checkout option.
Q: Does my registration ticket account for hotel costs?
A: No. The ticket is a separate cost from the hotel booking cost.
Q: How do I book a hotel room?
A: After you have registered, use this link to purchase your hotel room: Please book your hotel room by January 22nd, 2026.
Q: Where is my email confirmation?
A: Check your email! If you do not see anything, CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER! If you cannot find it, navigate to the registration site, and select “Resend order link.”
Q: Will there be food provided at MAC XIV?
A: We will be providing lunch and dinner on Saturday only.
Q: Will I have to take a COVID test before attending MAC XIV?
A: Yes - we will be requiring a NEGATIVE COVID Test that MUST be taken between February 17th and February 19th, 2026.
We WILL NOT be accepting any tests taken before of after those dates.
Note that for your test submission, you will need to include all the following in the image:
1. Proof of negative test
2. Full Name
3. Date and Time of when the test was taken
Q: Is masking mandatory?
A: Masking is optional. Please respect an individual's decision to mask or unmask.
Q: What ages are eligible to attend MAC as a general attendee?
A: All ages are eligible, but you must be an undergraduate student and a member of your school’s VSA.
Q: What can I do to get matched into a family that fits me best?
A: It is best that you complete all the questions on your registration ticket so that our Family Programming Committee can best match you.
Q: When can I expect to be approved?
A: Wave 1: Nov 16-19. Wave 2: Nov 23-26.
Q: What do I do after I am approved?
A: You have 48 hours to complete your payment. If you do not, the ticket goes back into the pool.
Q: Why was I denied approval?
A: This means that you do not have a valid student ID, are not a member of your school’s VSA, or your information is falsified in any means. For any questions, please contact conference.registration@mauvsa.org.
Q: What can I do to get approved again after I am denied?
A: Please email conference.registration@mauvsa.org about your situation. We will hold your denied ticket and give you 48 hours to address the situation before we release your ticket into the general pool.
Q: Can I resell my ticket for monetary gains?
A: No. You may only refund or transfer your ticket.
Q: What are my options if tickets are sold out?
A: A waitlist will open after all tickets are sold out. The waitlist does not guarantee you a ticket. You can apply for the Take Me to MAC Scholarship (more details to come)! You can participate in the T-shirt competition (more details to come)!
Q: Who is eligible for Wave One?
A: Any undergraduate student who is is in-region is eligible for Wave One. In-region MAUVSA schools eligible for Wave One are East Carolina University, Georgetown University, George Mason University, George Washington University, Johns Hopkins University, James Madison University, North Carolina State University, Old Dominion University, Towson University, United States Naval Academy, University of Delaware, University of Maryland Baltimore County, University of Maryland College Park, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Virginia Tech. Any schools that are not the aforementioned must register in Wave Two.
